DALLAS, Texas – AFC Victory Fund today announced its endorsement of Idaho Governor Brad Little for reelection, citing significant school choice expansion for Idaho families during his tenure.
Little signed House Bill 93 in February of 2025, creating Idaho’s Parental Choice Tax Credit (PCTC) program, the state’s first private school choice initiative. By July 2026, the program reached its funding cap, triggering a wait list.
The refundable tax credit provides nearly $50 million in state funding for qualifying nonpublic education expenses. Eligible families receive up to $5,000 per student and up to $7,500 for students with a qualifying disability.
During Little’s administration, Idaho successfully started LAUNCH, a workforce grant program that supports graduating high school students. Together, LAUNCH and the PCTC made Idaho the first state to offer education freedom from kindergarten through career.
At the federal level, Gov. Little opted Idaho into the Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC). Under the EFTC, individual taxpayers receive a dollar-for-dollar credit up to $1,700 ($3,400 for married couples filing jointly) for donating to scholarship granting organizations, which in turn distribute scholarships to K-12 students.
Statement from Tommy Schultz, CEO, AFC Victory Fund:
“Idaho families can count on Governor Brad Little to prioritize Idaho students from kindergarten to career. At both the state and federal levels, Gov. Little has supported initiatives that empower families to choose the education that best fits their child’s needs, abilities, and aspirations.
