DALLAS, Texas – AFC Victory Fund today congratulated Congressman Byron Donalds on his election as Florida's next governor. AFC Victory Fund endorsed Donalds ahead of the election, citing his record of supporting school choice policies at the state and federal levels.
Florida has become a national leader in school choice, with more than 500,000 students participating annually in state programs including the Family Empowerment Scholarship and the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship. During his time in the Florida Legislature, Donalds supported efforts to expand educational options for families, a commitment he carried with him to Congress.
Donalds helped advance education freedom at the federal level as an early supporter of the historic Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC). With Florida already opted in, an estimated 3.2 million Florida K–12 students will be eligible for scholarships following the credit’s launch in 2027.
