AFC Victory Fund Applauds U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody's Primary Win
DALLAS, Texas — AFC Victory Fund today praised U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody following her win in Florida's Republican primary, pointing to her years of work expanding school choice and giving parents a stronger say in how their children are educated.
Ahead of the primary, AFC Victory Fund backed Moody's candidacy on the strength of her pro-school choice track record. She has built a career around expanding educational options, most recently through her backing of the federal Education Freedom Tax Credit, and has made parental empowerment a central theme of her campaign.
No state has moved faster on school choice than Florida, where upwards of 500,000 students are currently enrolled in programs like the Family Empowerment Scholarship and the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship. Moody has carried that momentum to Washington, where her support for the Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC) could open the door to new education funding for as many as 3.2 million Florida students, according to new research.
Her push for the EFTC is emblematic of the kind of federal advocacy AFC Victory Fund is working to replicate across the country.
