AFC Victory Fund Endorses Governor Greg Abbott for Reelection

Dallas, TX - AFC Victory Fund today announced its endorsement of Texas Governor Greg Abbott for reelection. Governor Abbott has been a bold and courageous champion for Texas families through his vigorous support for school choice policies that expand opportunity for every Texas student.

Last election cycle, Governor Abbott went all in to give families educational freedom by barnstorming the state to help elect school choice champions across Texas.  His leadership and personal dedication to education freedom in last year’s legislative session resulted in the passage of the largest day one school choice program in the nation’s history.

Thanks to his tireless efforts to pass the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program, this year, tens of thousands of Texas families will have the funds and flexibility to customize their children’s education by choosing the schooling that best meets their needs.

AFC Victory Fund defeated 9 anti-school choice incumbents in the 2025 primaries and will continue informing voters about candidates who support expanding school choice. AFCVF’s work helps empower Texas families with the freedom to pursue the best possible education for their children.

Statement from Tommy Schultz, CEO, AFC Victory Fund:

“Governor Greg Abbott is one of the most legendary figures in the history of the school choice movement. His unwavering leadership in the fight to empower families with real educational freedom gave Texas families a victory after nearly 25 years of special interests blocking parents from great educational options.

“His commitment to school choice and his strong advocacy for Texas Education Freedom Accounts demonstrates his determination to ensure that no child’s educational destiny is limited by their ZIP code-assigned school. Governor Abbott understands that parents – not unions or bureaucracies – should make the decisions that shape their children’s futures. We are proud to fully support this champion for parents and students to continue as Governor of the great state of Texas.”
